DIRTECH (pronounced D.I.R. Tech) is an unmoderated discussion list that allows Information Technology (IT) professionals in Texas government to share information and to collaborate with their peers via email. Subscribers may use the list to:
- seek advice from other government IT staff regarding technology problems
- post training opportunities/needs appropriate for IT staff
- discuss technical issues
- request referrals or opinions about IT products and services
- share resources and expertise
The list is open to personnel from Texas State agencies, public universities, and other government organizations. There is no fee for subscribing. Participation is completely voluntary. The list is hosted by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and the value of DIRTECH is entirely dependent upon the interaction of its members. The focus of this list is Texas State government, but any government employee may join.
NOTE: You must subscribe with a valid government email address.
Subscribing and Account Maintenance
User accounts may be configured through a web-based interface that allow members to choose many options, including whether they participate via regular email or by receiving a summary (called a digest) of all list traffic periodically. Please refer to http://lists.state.tx.us/mailman/listinfo/dirtech for information on subscribing, unsubscribing, and posting messages.
