Eligible customers who can purchase communications technology services through the Tex-AN rogram include:

Reference Texas Government Code, Section 2170.004 for customer eligibility statute.

• Each house of the legislature
• A legislative agency
• An agency that is not a state agency, as defined by Texas Government Code, Section 2151.002
• Political subdivisions, including:
  • Counties
  • Municipalities
  • Districts
• Private institutions of higher education, as defined by Texas Education Code, Section 61.003, which:
  • Engage in distance learning, AND
  • Receive federal funds for distance learning initiatives, per Section 2170.004 (5), Texas Government Code

• Assistance organizations, as defined by Texas Government Code, Section 2175.001
  DIR utilizes the eligibility for assistance organizations as determined by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts or the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). For information on establishing eligibility, please refer to the Comptroller's CO-OP purchasing program or the TFC program eligibility page.
