  1. What are the applicable rates and fees for contracts?

2. What are the terms for the wireless contracts?

All contracts that have been awarded have an initial term of one year, with three one-year options to extend.

3. Did DIR file a form 470 for E-rate?

No. Each customer wishing to use E-rate funds must file their own form 470 with the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD).

4. How will I know if my prior service was ordered under the DIR contract or under another contractual vehicle??

If your prior service was ordered under the DIR contract, each invoice you receive will clearly cite the DIR contract number.

5. If we have ordered our wireless service under a prior contractual vehicle other than the DIR contract, will we be allowed to terminate that agreement and continue our service under the new DIR Contract?

If you have contract with a vendor and would like to switch to a DIR contract you will have to check the terms and conditions of your current contract.  If nothing within your contract precludes you from switching, then yes you can switch to one of the contracts that DIR has in place.

6. The wireless vendor has provided me with a special wireless agreement that the vendor has indicated I must sign before I can receive my service.  Is this true?

No. All terms and conditions have been agreed upon in the DIR contract, and no additional agreements need be executed.

7. Are iPads and Netbooks a part of this wireless procurement?

No, iPads and Netbooks are not a part of this wireless procurement under the Telecommunications Statute. However, iPads can be purchased under the Apple Contract  DIR-SDD-891.

8. Is there a limit to the extent the Vendor is able to “back bill” for services inadvertently left off previous invoices by the Vendor?

Yes. No more than 120 calendar days from the date of the billing.

9. Can purchase orders be placed that extend past the contract expiration date?

T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint may accept purchase orders with a termination date up to one year beyond the then-effective termination date of the contract. Purchase orders must be placed prior to expiration date of the contract.

10. Are any of the vendors offering an employee discount under the DIR contract?

No, employee discounts are not included as part of the contract. Employees are not DIR eligible customers. However, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint may be offering government employee discounts under separate programs.
